Growing Effectiveness
Hello, and welcome.
My name is Doron and I am a Software Engineer, CTO, CEO, Manager, Book Keeper, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Individual, Friend, Husband, Hiker, Skier, Nature Lover. I’m sure there are a few more roles I have that I’ve left out.
In all those roles I have a lot of things I want to do. I want to learn more each day about many things, to be a better father and spend quality time with my 2 kids, to be a good supportive husband, to do a good job in my professional life as a CTO, CEO, Software Engineer, Leader, Learner, and Mentor.
Over the past 20+ years of working in the software industry in many different areas and several companies & startups I’ve learned a lot and also observed how people handle the things they want to accomplish. As the level of responsibility increases, from startups to large companies, people have a lot they want to do and it’s hard to focus, keep track of everything, and be effective.
I’ve been doing a lot of reading and learning about this as I’ve wanted to make progress in my own abilities in this area.
I’ve learned about many great concepts such as how to
- Create achievable measurable goals
- Be more effective (not more efficient)
- Adopt fundamental principles that are evident and never change
- Work more effectively with myself, individuals, and teams
- Manage time more effectively and sanely
A few years ago I had an idea for some software that could help with a lot of manual things I was doing to make progress in being more effective. I also realized that through software and teaching I could improve the accessibility of the many great concepts I’ve learned to every day folks. I’ve been working to bring this software, knowledge, and community to life!
This company, forthcoming product, and teaching is an experiment to see if it can help me and others who want to make progress in being more effective in their work and personal lives.
